Welcome to the 37th annual Dr. Robert R. Kopecky Memorial Golf Outing.
Thank you for your participation. Proceeds from today’s event will benefit several nursing scholarships and the Foundation’s Nursing Excellence Fund.
If you are visiting this page on Thursday, June 13, it is likely because you met our friend, Jerry Karwowski on the golf course!
Terry Karwowski began her career at Franciscan Health in 1969 earning $2.38 an hour as a licensed practical nurse. Not satisfied with the limited duties she could perform as an LPN, Terry began course work in 1977 to complete her associate degree. During this time, she worked on weekends and full-time during the summer, and with loving support from her husband Jerry, raised four children!
In 1979 Terry began 20-years of service in Endoscopy becoming a certified Gastroenterology nurse. Still not satisfied with her level of education attainment, Terry earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing in 1987.
The Terry Karwowski Memorial Scholarship honors the strength and determination of Terry to always improve her knowledge, professionalism, and skills in patient care.
The scholarship makes a single - $2,000 award annually to a nursing student who embodies the same character and fortitude as Terry and desires to earn a bachelor’s degree in nursing.
